Our services
Each service is a conversation shaped around you, with room for the questions that go beyond symptom lists.
Individual therapy
For adults, often in their twenties, who feel pulled between what is expected of them and what they want. Sessions are 50 minutes of conversation, in the office or by video, drawing on existential and humanistic therapy. They are not an assessment or a diagnosis visit, and you will not be handed a worksheet. Your therapist sets the pace with you, with sessions weekly or every other week, and no number of sessions is promised. Sessions are paid as the fees page describes.

Couples counseling
For partners who want to understand the pattern they keep landing in. Sessions use Emotionally Focused Therapy alongside existential ideas, with both partners in the room, and they are not a place to decide who is right. Meetings are usually 80 minutes, weekly at first, and your therapist sets the pace with you. Fees are given in writing before you begin.

EMDR and somatic work
For adults carrying a hard experience who want a slow, steady way to work with it. The first sessions are about grounding and trust, and the work with EMDR or body-based methods starts only when you say you are ready. You can pause or stop at any point. This is not a quick fix and it is not for everyone; your therapist will talk through whether it fits. Your therapist sets the pace with you. Fees are the same as for individual therapy.

Mindfulness in therapy
For people who meditate, or want to, and find it hard to bring that into a busy life. We practice in the session, talk about what comes up and draw on Buddhist psychology and phenomenology. It is not relaxation training, and it is not a substitute for medical care. It is part of therapy, so sessions run as individual sessions do, and your therapist sets the pace with you. Fees are the same as for individual therapy.

Philosophy groups
For adults who like to think out loud with others. A monthly group meets to talk about meaning, mortality, freedom, love and purpose, using Socratic dialogue. It is a discussion group, not group therapy, and no philosophy background is needed. Meetings are monthly, and group fees are given in writing before you join.

Three questions about services
Can I start with individual therapy and add couples work later?
Yes. Many people begin alone. If a partner joins later, you and your therapist talk through how that changes the work first.
What if I am not sure which service fits?
Start with individual therapy. In the first session you and your therapist talk about what you want, and you can change the plan as you go.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Dr. Gaston is a psychologist and does not prescribe. If medication might help, he can talk it over with you and suggest you see a prescriber.
Not sure which fits?
Write a few lines and we will reply by email or phone.
